Amy Eliason Obituary
Our beautiful gentle spirited Amy Jo Eliason, age 63, of Green Bay, passed away June 11th, 2024 at Unity Hospice Residence. She was born May 20th, 1961 in Green Bay to Patricia Parmentier and James Eliason.
Amy was passionate about her employment at Bellin BEAM (Bellin Expressive Arts in Medicine). She started in 2018 and grew the program to new heights. As an artist herself, she spread her knowledge and used her community connections to grow the volunteer base and expand the program to multiple facilities throughout the Bellin footprint. The BEAM program, recently dedicated to her, is now called the Amy Eliason BEAM Program. It will continue for years to come helping patients heal their mind, body and spirit. She was a fierce advocate for the arts, and an even more fierce advocate for the people who needed the program.
Throughout her life Amy was an amazing professional artist and won an extensive number of awards at various art shows. She altruistically contributed her time and talents to the community and was featured in numerous articles including “People Who Make A Difference” In Business News of Green Bay and “50 People You Should Know” in Green Bay Area Chamber Of Commerce. She was President of Green Bay Arts Unlimited, a member of Rotary Club – Downtown Green Bay, Ambassador for the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Management Women.
The most important thing that brought her joy was spending time with her close-knit family, children & grandchildren, wonderful friends, and more recently her happy spark was ignited by her husband Dan. She enjoyed photography, bird watching, painting, dancing, gardening, hiking, listening to music, kayaking, skiing, going on fun adventures with her husband, and being in the art studio with family, friends and students.
Her life will be forever cherished by her many survivors: her husband Dan Hilliard, three children: Tony (Ashley) Moon, Tricia (TJ) Schmidt, and Jessie (Jordan) Kerr; six grandchildren: Addison, Amelia, Mason, Julia, Jett and Layla; parents Patricia Parmentier and James (Fran) Eliason; siblings: Jim (Ruth) Eliason, Jennie (Kelsey) Anderson, Mike Eliason, Joe Eliason, Tom Eliason, and Maria (Tim) Havlik, and further survived by 22 nieces & nephews, and numerous godchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother David Eliason.
